On Main Street, and still family run
The office and the 4,000 sq. ft. showroom sit at 148 E Main St in Belmond, open Monday to Friday from 7:30 in the morning. The business has been family owned and operated since 1946. The estimate is free, the work carries a one-year warranty, and the plumbing is done by master and journeyman-licensed plumbers.
Rick Kinseth handles estimating on the mechanical contracting side, pricing boiler and chilled water systems, radiant floor heat, and complete plumbing installs for buildings that need more than a residential service call.
No job too small or too large
That line has been on the business's own signage for a long time, and it describes two very different kinds of work under one roof. On one side is the residential and commercial plumbing and heating that most people call about: a boiler that will not fire, a water heater that has started leaking, a backflow assembly that needs its annual test, a softener for water that is leaving deposits on every fixture in the house. That work goes to master and journeyman-licensed plumbers, comes with a one-year warranty on the install, and on heating, cooling and water heater calls it can often be same-day.
On the other side is mechanical contracting: full boiler and chilled water systems, radiant floor heat, and complete plumbing installs designed and bid for schools, hospitals, public buildings, care facilities and manufacturing facilities, some of them multimillion-dollar projects. Kinseth is bonded and a Merit Shop contractor, and takes that work on as bid work, design-build, negotiated work, or time and material, whatever the owner or general contractor needs. We Service What We Sell is the other half of the business: the showroom on Main Street sells ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and water conditioning systems from brands like GE, Kohler, Delta and Goodman, and the same crew that sells a fixture is the one licensed to install and service it afterward.
